Reverse Advertising is a concept that many people either forget,
or haven't thought of in the first place. When you join an FFA
you will find that they send you back e-mails. Well, if you
"Reply" to those e-mails so that the senders message
is in the e-mail you send them, you can then "reverse"
the advertising and offer your product to them! How about all of
that "Spam" that you recieve in your e-mail
boxes? Yep, you can reply to those too! If you are using
a spam filtering program that allows you to decide what names to
block, I would suggest replying to the spam first, and if it comes
back to you as undeliverable, then block the senders address, otherwise
don't block it - they might end up taking you up on your offer!
Remember though - you don't want to use Reverse Advertising
with your Safelist Subscriptions - that is not allowed by most
safelists. The whole point behind the list is that they get your
email because you get theirs - so you are already sending them all
your ad.
One thing you might try, is asking the person you are replying
to some questions first, get them reading what you have to say.
Maybe ask them what types of programs they are involved in just
to see if you get a response. Chances are, if there is a person
at the other end of that email address, they will be willing to
answer your question! Once you receive that answer you can look
over the programs they are in, and then send them a customized email
as to how your program/product can beneift them!
An example of a reverse ad would be:
Hi (Put their first name here),
Thank you for the information about your program.
Although it won't fit my business plan at the
moment, I will keep it on file.
Just a thought - I have found
(A brief description of your program/product/service,
etc..)
You might want to look at this as a tool for your business.
FOUR POWERFUL REASONS IT WORKS:
(1)(cost)
(2) (benefit)
(3) It's simple and
(4) It pays BIG
(Your Website URL)
(Your "name" and contact info)
The big tip is to hit "reply" to reverse-advertise
because as long as you can prove that they emailed you first then
it isn't spam. But if you just toss their e-mail address into a
mass mailing program you can be accused of spam.
